UUDA 2017 Ultimate Committee Details
The descriptions below provide initial ideas for focus, but each committee will create their own priorities and budget. The Board of Directors will provide feedback and support to each committee. Committees will vary in size depending on need and community interest.
Board Members: Tara Wion and Isaac Conley
This committee will be charged with collaborating and supporting Utah’s high school, middle school, and other youth teams and programs. This committee will work to assess the existing opportunities in our youth community and take an active role in promoting tournament and league play within our state. This committee will work closely with the USAU state representatives (BSYC, GSYC, SOC) in organizing and promoting existing programs and implementing new leagues, tournaments, and clinics.
Ideally, this committee will have representatives from high school teams (both players and parents), team coaches, USAU representatives, recreational, club, and college players/coaches who have a passion for the growth of the sport, organizing youth programs (leagues, tournaments, clinics, UUDA YCC team), and involving Utah’s community of players in youth sport development.
Board Members: Bryce Merrill
This committee will be in charge of organizing, improving and establishing UUDA leagues. This may include bringing current community leagues under the UUDA umbrella, conducting a needs assessment to find ideal locations, levels and seasons for new leagues, and strengthening the quality of play in current leagues.
Ideally, this committee will have representatives from youth, college, club, and recreational players, especially those with experience in playing in leagues within and outside Utah. Anyone passionate about increasing and improving league play in the state should apply!
